It's the end the Gold DofE expedition for our girls @RedmaidsHigh in the Lakes!
Finishing in glorious sunshine, they've learnt so much. This photo of one of the Year 12 groups at the finish epitomised the spirit of DofE and Redmaids' girls.

Day 2 and 3 update!
Remote supervision was the order of the day allowing the girls @RedmaidsHigh to learn key lessons about independence and decision making.
They navigated some tricky terrain, successfully negotiating peaks and scree slopes!

Day 2 is over! Another cracking day in the mountains for our @RedmaidsHigh girls. Year 12 had enjoyed a huge adventure traversing several mountain ranges. After a quick debrief, enjoying the camaraderie and a well-earned hot meal at camp is one of the highlights of DofE👍

It was a wet start to the Gold DofE expedition for our Year 12s and 13s in the Lake District! 🌧️🌧️
But girls @RedmaidsHigh are made of sterner stuff - here they are learning the nuances of navigation with instructor George and enjoying a tarn, and Year 13s chill at camp 👌

There was excitement at the end for Group 9 at the end of their DofE adventure!
The weekend was certainly not without its fair share of incidents (and 'detours' 😂), but the resilience shown can never be taken away from our girls @RedmaidsHigh nor the lifetime of memories. #DofE

It's a busy time for our Year 9s @RedmaidsHigh - sandwiched between the lower school play and Year 9 camp next week is the Bronze DofE qualifying expedition in the Quantock Hills! Some lovely scenes whilst gearing up to set off - see you at the campsite! 🌞

It was the final night of @RedmaidsHigh's Outdoor Adventures programme. Florence, Eveie, Clem, Martha, and Anna, were amazing all year in the South West Schools Bouldering! 👏

Last week, we celebrated Volunteers' Week, recognising the huge difference girls @RedmaidsHigh make through the DofE.
This year, our girls spent 1378 hours volunteering, with a social value of £6627 - how about that for impact! Another reminder of why our girls choose DofE 👏👏

Last but lot least, Group 1 reach the end of their adventure! 👏
Tired, but not defeated, their arrival brings this year's Silver DofE expedition to a close. All 27 girls @RedmaidsHigh have passed - a fantastic achievement!
Their spirited resilience will go down in DofE folklore!
