@IngeniousRobust "I'm not opposed to the idea," he admitted. He did miss having Shorty around, and it was nice having him join in on the Christmas festivities with the family. "Maybe we can do a trial run over the summer, if we're both sure we can handle it."

"Y'have your ticket?" Indy asked her as he absentmindedly patted down the pockets of his own overcoat.
Normally, he was much more adept at traveling, but >
@IngeniousRobust might not make it home.
"Are you proposing that Shorty come live with us instead of at the boarding school?" he cautiously asked. Even though Short Round was like another member of the family, taking him on full time would be another big responsibility on top of having a newborn.
@IngeniousRobust "I want what you say to be true, Marion. I truly do," he said with a soft sigh, lightly patting her hand. Despite his desire to be a present father, he knew that his lifestyle wasn't something that he could simply walk away from. There was a very good chance that one day he >
@IngeniousRobust > I wanted him to get a good education too..."
He paused before continuing. "I knew that I couldn't truly be a good father figure to him because I'd be too much like my own father."
@IngeniousRobust Indy thought for a moment before answering. "When I enrolled him in the boarding school, it was because I felt that it was best for him to be taken care of when I couldn't. He needed to have people who could be there to make sure he washed behind his ears and ate his vegetables.>
@IngeniousRobust He nodded and leaned in to kiss her forehead. "Not much longer now. It's gonna be okay," he said, trying to comfort her, but deep down he was just as terrified, and concerned that maybe this entire trip was a mistake.
@IngeniousRobust Indy placed his hand on her bump and nearly jumped when he felt how strong the baby's kick was. "Someone's kicking up a storm in there."
@IngeniousRobust "You really think I'd be so cruel?" he asked, feigning offense, but there was also a small smirk in the corner of his mouth. His inner 12 year old had at least considered it.
@IngeniousRobust "Pittsburgh, I think. It's the first scheduled stop, and I think we're just picking up more passengers." He peeked out of the side of the closed drapes. "Mhm, Pittsburgh. I'd know that smell anywhere."
@IngeniousRobust Seeing her in distress, he grabbed her arm to stabilize her. "I've got you," he said in a low voice, meeting her eyes. "Have a good nap?"
@IngeniousRobust > poetry. The shrillness of the horn startled him also, causing him to lose his grip on the book. He tried to grab it as it fell, but failed spectacularly by accidentally launching it across the cabin instead.
Grumbling and mildly embarrassed, he got up to collect the book and >
@IngeniousRobust He gave a soft chuckle, moving his other hand to softly stroke her hair. "You don't need to do a thing, sweetheart. Just rest your eyes."
@IngeniousRobust He waited for her to get comfortable before taking a seat. "For now, I think we should do everything that we normally would. This is still our last getaway before the baby comes." He wraps his arms around her middle, his hand falling on the underside of her bump.
@IngeniousRobust "I'm so sorry this happened, Marion." He felt terrible that she was now being put into danger over this. This wasn't out of the ordinary for either of them, but he was now feeling extra protective for the baby's sake. "I think we should be safe for now if you want to take a nap.>
