When she threatened to go to the media, officers reportedly warned her she could be arrested for “inciting racial hatred.”

TURKEY SCRAMBLES F16s TO HARASS NATO DEFENSE MINISTERS🚨

Three aircraft carrying EU Defense Ministers from Greece, France and the Netherlands were harassed and shadowed by Turkish F16s en route to Cyprus.

Turkey, a NATO member scrambling fighter jets against fellow NATO allies’ planes on official EU business is completely unacceptable. This is provocative aggression in a long-running dispute, endangering European ministers and most importantly civilian aircraft.

The silence from NATO, the EU and UN is deafening and shameful.
Where is the solidarity?
Where is the condemnation of a NATO ally destabilizing the Eastern Mediterranean and bullying EU airspace?

Turkish forces just harassed the Greek state aircraft carrying Defence Minister @NikosDendias to Cyprus this evening — along with the planes of EU Defence Ministers from France and the Netherlands.

All three aircraft were en route to Nicosia for tomorrow’s informal EU Defence Ministers’ Council on European Security, hosted under the Cypriot Presidency.

In other words: European ministers just got a live demonstration of what it means to be an EU member state under continuous occupation and threat by Turkey — the same country that constantly complains it isn’t getting enough “EU benefits.”

According to @cvenizelos / @philenewscy:

• The illegal “control tower” at occupied Tymbou airport interfered with communications.
• Two Turkish F-16s scrambled from the same occupied air base and shadowed the European ministers’ aircraft.

This isn’t a one-off. Turkey pulled the exact same stunt during previous informal EU meetings in Cyprus.

Yet today — while Ankara pretends it wants to “warm up” Euro-Turkish relations and the UN envoy begins fresh talks — it still can’t resist provoking Europe right in its own backyard,violating its own air space !

So… will the EU or the ministers involved issue a strong condemnation for this blatant violation of Cyprus’s sovereign airspace?

‼️ Instead of a multi-ethnic empire held together by force, Sevres offered stable nation-states built on demographic reality-confronting the issues that would define the next hundred years: unresolved nationalisms, contested frontiers, and unpunished atrocities.

‼️The alternative-the unitary Turkish Republic -delivered a century of forced assimilation, repeated Kurdish uprisings, the denial of the Armenian Genocide, the eradication of Anatolia’s remaining Christian communities, and enduring territorial disputes with every neighbour.

❌The Sevres treaty would have formalized Greek-Turkish boundaries in Thrace and Western Anatolia, removing the tensions that still poison the Aegean today.

❌Sevres would have granted Kurdish autonomy, averting the decades-long Kurdish conflict that has claimed tens of thousands of lives and destabilised the region.

❌It would have secured an Armenian state, closing the genocide’s open wound before denial became state policy.

❌It would have internationalized the Bosporus Straits, eliminating a perennial flashpoint for unilateral control, promoting secure maritime commerce for decades.

🔺Sevres was the only framework that could have worked. The region has been paying the price for its abandonment ever since.

The so-called "Greece" runestones are about 30 such memorials found in Sweden, written in the Old Norse Language using the Runic Script. They were carved during the Viking Age (prior to 1100 AD), commemorating the travels and exploits of Nordic warriors to the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire who mostly served as mercenaries, presumably in the renowned Varangian Guard.

In all these stones the Empire is referred to as Grikkland (Greece) and the Rhomaioi (Byzantines) as Grikkjar (Greeks). Similarly, other European peoples such as the Bulgarians, Hungarians and Rus also called the Eastern Roman Empire "Greece" and its inhabitants "Greeks", as did the Western Latins of course. And while the Latins had political reasons to call them that, denying their "Roman" legitimacy that they considered as theirs, the others did not.

Clearly the use of the term "Roman" had become a purely political matter for centuries prior, important for legitimacy and prestige reasons to Greeks and Latins (the two main constituent cultures of the old Roman world). Other European peoples, who did not consider themselves as direct inheritors of the old Roman World and Graeco-Roman Civilisation simply did not really care that much for such semantics. They saw a state primarily inhabited and ruled by Greeks and simply called it Greece...

🇩🇪 Nikita Miller, a German comedian, was nearly killed by a migrant who attacked him inside Bremen Central Station.

His attacker was released on the same night as the attack.

Nikita later explained that the court stated that the migrant “no longer posed any danger.”

What’s more, the charge was reduced to bodily harm instead of attempted murder, which Nikita said was because the court argued that the migrant had stopped the assault before killing him.

Nikita told the court he only survived the attack because he fought back, and that the migrant only stopped once the blade broke off.

During the attack, Nikita suffered five serious stab wounds, including a 15 cm wound to his head.

He later told the German news outlet Express that the suspect was granted German citizenship despite the attack.

The comedian has since moved to Norway, saying that if anything were to happen to his wife or family, he would not want to deal with the German criminal justice system again.
