@SheilaPettifor2 Wrong. He could have done anything to hurt people. Mental illness is again the cause of this. No one wants to admit it for some reason. Vegas was due to mental illness. Mall shooting was mental illness. All of them mental illness.
@BovarysComplnt @candykirby@shannonrwatts Such ignorance. There's our real problem. The AR holding up a coat was simply stating that the gun is not killing someone. If a drunk driver plows into someone at a crosswalk we don't ban cars we ban drunk driving.
@lcleary1959 @ToddBranchUS @candykirby@shannonrwatts Call anything you'd like. Just shows how blind and ignorant everyone is. Blame the gun and not the real issue.
@verplanckcolvin@candykirby@shannonrwatts Because I will not ask someone to hang on cuz I'm half asleep so I can find my gun safe keys. Instead I properly educate my children with gun safety classes and hunters safety classes and teach them to responsibly enjoy them.
@sandralhanlon I did. 6 years serving to allow people to freely express their rights wether it's a water pistol or a tank. Honorably discharged and recipient of purple heart. Maybe do your part.
@BovarysComplnt @candykirby@shannonrwatts The worry is because of lack of mental health care we are providing kids. This guy is 19, mental issues, multiple red flags on social media, was expelled from that high school prior. Was expelled in 8th grade for throwing rocks through school windows. That's the real issue
@BovarysComplnt @candykirby@shannonrwatts The cause of this was teachers and faculty expelling an individual and recommending psychiatric help. The parents refused. They also ignored multiple warning signs on his social media. Wasn't the guns fault.
@sarahoconnell20@candykirby@shannonrwatts But unfortunately it was. The parents lack of involvement and them not taking him for treatment or evaluation, made this happen. He was referred to treatment when expelled from that school prior.
@BenEncodes@candykirby@shannonrwatts Actually turns out, yet again there were tons of warning signs in the kids behavior at home and on social media that were ignored by the parents. Seems like a common occurrence really. It's the parents.
@sarahoconnell20@candykirby@shannonrwatts Actually Sarah, yet again, the news and police just confirmed multiple warning signs on the kids social media. Again they were ignored by the parents.
@checkcall34 @candykirby@shannonrwatts Defended my family in 2014 when 2 men armed with hand guns entered my home through the living room window at 3 am. Was very utilitarian at that time and because of my training and practice with it, I overcame the threat.
@deniseisabroad We are also the only country that raises psychopaths by not disciplining them, not letting them know what it feels like to not succeed or to lose.
