@SiClancy Fair, but Cape Verde are more talented. I don’t approve of the stuff that crosses the line, or as you put it, shithousery, but playing tough, frustrating football is how they have a shot. It’s how they beat Germany. Kind of like when the Heat play physical and muck up the game.
@ckparrot@OmarKelly Also, I would rephrase the point you were trying to make. The “demand for US dollars in trade” is not what drives US treasury issuance. Our trade deficit which generates excess dollars for those nations we have deficits with have to be reinvested in dollar assets (eg treasuries)
@ckparrot@OmarKelly Better, but still completely off. Through royalties and taxes, Venezuela kept close to 90%. Further, the oil industry was not nationalized in 2007 it was nationalized in 1976. She’s just wrong on so many levels. Also, not just oil, but natural resources (eg gold/rare earths).
