Today marks the 116th anniversary of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre. In remembrance of this devastating act of racal violence, I joined discussions on race relations & how we can lead to make ATL better. Thx, @OutofHandATL@Ctr4CHR & @aps_equity 4 hosting #EquitableDinners!💪🏾
Yesterday, I introduced a resolution to honor the Black residents of Atlanta killed by violent white supremacists and acknowledge the lasting impact on Atlanta's Black community. Thank you to the 51 Members of Congress who joined me on my resolution.

It's been 116 years since the Atlanta Race Massacre, in which White supremacist mobs terrorized and killed dozens of Black Americans. Today, we honor not just the victims in Atlanta, but also the victims of the countless similar atrocities at the hands of white supremacy.
In commemoration of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre, I was proud to host ten strangers at our home to share a meal and have vital conversations about race that will hopefully inspire action for moving forward together.
Thanks to @ArielFristoe@OutofHandATL@Ctr4CHR and more!
Thanks to @CarterCenter for inviting me to the Equitable Dinner, toward racial equality in Atlanta. Complicated, difficult discussions over Sunday fried chicken, fish, collard greens, hot sauce and iced tea in President Carter’s domain.
Yesterday, we joined community partners across the city as part of Equitable Dinners Atlanta. At tables across the city, guests gathered for arts, history, and conversation to inspire positive action and move forward together. Thank you @outofhandatl.
