Outplayer 2025.11 is now available! This update includes major performance improvements for Picture in Picture, HDR, and external displays. Also included is a new gesture for center tap to play/pause.

A UI refresh for iOS 26 is also in-progress and will be coming later on.

@LeoNatan It was calling into the scene delegate if there already was one.

@LeoNatan It seems like it’s now calling the method to request a new scene, so we can no longer use an existing scene from Files, which is interesting.

@LeoNatan Thanks, I believe it always opening a new scene from Files might be new behavior in 26. I can look into changing it to use the video-only scene which won’t remain open!

@LeoNatan If you select “Get Info” from the context menu, you’ll be able to change “Always Open With” like in my screenshot!

• Added new gesture control for double-tap to skip forward or backward
• AV1 hardware decoding is now enabled on supported devices
