@nuttie_matters@lakeshorelaw@shahrour_maher@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom The Philistines merged with the Canaanites/Jews (Canaanites became Jews). Jews who didn't leave the area mostly became Christians by 500 CE. Then over hundreds of years most converted to Islam and adopted Arabic.
@nuttie_matters@lakeshorelaw@shahrour_maher@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom Nation states did not exist until the last few hundred years. Germany became one only 150 years ago.
Palestinians are indigenous, and lived there for 4,000 years. Their ancestors were Canaanites. They became Jewish, then Christian, and finally Muslim, through gradual conversion.
@nuttie_matters@lakeshorelaw@shahrour_maher@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom Israel has only existed since 1948. It involved the expulsion of most of the indigenous people, who lived there continuously for 4,000 years. They were not allowed to return. The land of Israel belongs to the people of Gaza and the West Bank.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” Trump lit into Netanyahu over the Lebanon bombing:
“You're fucking crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. I'm saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this."

@SplitBrainUK@DoubleDownNews Correct. That is why the media never showed examples of antisemitism, never investigated it, ignored the Yougov polls that showed Tories were more antisemitic, and a poll showing 50% of Tory members were Islamophobes.
@kevolution70557@nuttie_matters@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom I didn't say anything remotely like that. In 1914, 14% of the population of Palestine were Jewish, and most of them had arrived, mostly from Europe, in the previous 30 years.
@lakeshorelaw@shahrour_maher@kevolution70557@nuttie_matters@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom Most Jews had left Palestine before the Romans occupied it. Most of the ones remaining became Christians by 500 CE, and later most converted to Islam by 1100 CE. The current Palestinians are descended from Jews, and lived there continuously for 3,000 years.
@kevolution70557@nuttie_matters@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom Majority in 1948 were European. Now majority is MENA. Because 600,000 came from there shortly after the creation of Israel. And yes, where people lived for the last few centuries is the important thing.
@nuttie_matters@ori_goldberg@MiaMBloom Jews, lived in Palestine for the last 2,500 years. Most converted to Christianity, and later to Islam. But a few remained Jews. Nobody 'wanted them dead'.
@SfgRaiders1@_Zaraquin So? It's not relevant. Kingdoms of Israel and Judah were conquered hundreds of years before Romans arrived. Phililstines merged into Canaanites. Most Jews left before Romans arrived. The Jews who stayed were the ancestors of today's Palestinians.
