@Heccles94 Problem is, a lot of these now "in work" are actually not and are still unemployed, they are in work for your dole schemes where you work 30 hours for basic benefits, and it is counted as employment. Keeping the figure lower.
@BladeoftheS We are paying more, and getting less. Armed forces cut, aircraft retired. During the cold war an Aircraft cost apx £27m-£33m but now they are costing upwards of 120m. We had apx 330 Harriers, 385 Tornados. Today apx 48 F35s and 130 Typhoons.
@allianceparty@EoinTennyson Maybe its time to stop telling people there are no legitimate or valid concerns over immigration & it's just racism. I condemn the violence, but you can't ignore people for 20 years over the issue then act shocked when people take to the streets. Remind me Alliance's position BLM
@Heccles94 While I am horrified over the violence, The left spent 20 years telling us there is no such things as legitimate concerns over immigration and people are just racist. You ignored everything and now act shocked when people take to the streets.
@BladeoftheS The left cry fascist at everyone, yet advocate complete censorship, banning of platforms they disagree with and jailing political opponents.
@BladeoftheS No, they would have been allowed to disrupt everything like they have for 2 years. No one has been arrested for supporting Palestine or flying a flag. Arrests have come for supporting a proscribed group that broke into a RAF base and other sites causing damage.
@MirabelTweets1 What you see on the news is not a true reflection of Northern Ireland. We are a beautiful place from the North Coast to the Mourne Mountains and everything in between.
@implausibleblog Not often I agree with the Greens, but yes she is right. Constant funding cuts have seen more and more youth programmes scrapped without viable replacements.
@Taj_Ali1 you don't want to hear about “legitimate concerns”? Yeah, thats the reason we are in this mess because for 2 decades the left have branded any concern as not legitimate and just racism. People spoke for 20 years but had their concerns constantly dismissed as not legit.
@ZoeJardiniere Dress it how you want, but you know nothing about NI if you think "far right politicians" are responsible for this. Look at the history of NI troubles and you will know how easy things can kick off here. I outright condemn the violence, but accusations like this are deflection
@TeresaC123 Speaking as someone in Northern Ireland, who was raised in East Belfast... they haven't. They are massive twats but they have not incited anything. I outright condemn the violence in the community, but if you think Musk and Farage etc incited anything, you know very little of NI
@ZackPolanski The time to take things seriously was 20 years ago, when you started labelling everyone racist, telling them "there is no such thing as legitimate concerns over immigration" I don't condone the violence, being from NI its horrifying, but politicians ignored people for years.
@BladeoftheS As someone from NI, stop using what has happened here to further your agenda. You are as bad as those you accuse. I can't stand Musk, Robinson or Farage but speaking as someone from NI who grew up in Belfast, this had nothing to do with them.
@owenjonesjourno No, Owen. While I am horrified at this violence here again, this is on the likes of you and your left wing progressives, who have spent 20 years telling everyone "you have no valid concerns over immigration, it's just racism"
