Congratulations to the Mexican-American boys and girls who participated as Consuls for a Day 2026.
It was an incredibly meaningful and enriching experience, filled with learning, enthusiasm, and moments that I am sure will leave a lasting impact on each of them.
Special thanks to Senator Karina Ruiz Ruiz 🇲🇽, Felix A. Garcia, CEO of the Zoe Foundation, and our friends Cristina Lozada and Martha Rodriguez for their generous support and sponsorship in making this very special experience possible for our youth. 🇲🇽

They assist millions of Mexicans who live and work legally in the United States — people who contribute billions of dollars in taxes and to the economy.
Sovereignty also means protecting your own people, Mr. Schweizer.

How ironic… The same country that has intervened in and funded coups in so many Latin American nations is now complaining because Mexico protects its citizens through consulates.
Mexican consulates are not “interfering” in U.S. elections.
Today, we welcomed business leaders from C3ntro Telecom, led by Simón Masrie, for an update on Project Tikva — a strategic fiber optic initiative connecting Phoenix🇺🇸 and Querétaro🇲🇽
This project will strengthen digital connectivity, innovation, and economic integration between Mexico and the U.S.
We were also joined by business representatives from Sonora, including members of Grupo Virgo.
I would like to thank 🇲🇽Senator @karina_migrante , representative of the migrant community in the Mexican Senate (Cámara de Senadores - México) , for welcoming the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce delegation so warmly.
It was a pleasure to engage with Senator Amalia García of Zacatecas and Senator @JuanCLoera_ of Chihuahua in a dialogue that strengthens the ties between our communities and opens new avenues for collaboration.

Yesterday, the Carlos Fuentes Room at this Consulate was the setting for something truly memorable: the presentation of Voces de la Frontera / Voices from the Border, a work by the Consul General of Mexico in Nogales, Marcos Moreno Báez — diplomat, photographer, and now, a voice for those who bring the border to life every day.
A book that doesn’t explain the border from the outside, but lets it speak for itself. Congratulations, Marcos.
We are grateful for the presence of the Consul General in Tucson, Fernando Adrián Sánchez Roldán, whose participation reflects the strength of our consular network across Arizona.
And a special recognition to Dr. Alicia Hernández Villa, from the State Commission for Evaluation and Continuous Improvement of Sonora, who generously donated a collection of books to our Consulate and officially inaugurated our Reading Nest space — a program of the Fondo de Cultura Económica that transforms this Consulate into an open, inclusive, and community-driven place for learning. 📚🇲🇽

Grateful to Dr. Evelyn Cruz from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law for her support in serving our community through a “Know Your Rights” legal clinic held yesterday at the Consulate General of Mexico in Phoenix.
This initiative is part of our External Legal Assistance Program, through which we work with trusted partners to provide timely guidance, empower our community, and ensure access to reliable legal information.
Thank you to all who made this effort possible — and to everyone who participated. 🇲🇽⚖️

In recent days, we had the opportunity to visit the first @caffenio 🇲🇽 location in the United States🇺🇸, right here in Mesa, Arizona—a 100% Mexican company bringing innovation and quality to the coffee experience.
We are very grateful to their leadership team for being part of our 2026 Golf Tournament and for their continued support.
Highly recommend Caffenio’s products—an excellent example of Mexican talent and entrepreneurship expanding beyond borders.
MESSAGE
I wholeheartedly endorse the powerful appeal for peace made by the Holy Father, Pope Leo, during his Palm Sunday Mass. His call for the laying down of arms and the renunciation of violence resonated profoundly with me, as it speaks to the very essence of what all major religions teach.
Indeed, whether we look to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or any of the world's great spiritual traditions, the message is fundamentally the same: love, compassion, tolerance, and self-discipline. Violence finds no true home in any of these teachings. History has shown us time and again that violence only begets more violence and is never a lasting foundation for peace.
An enduring resolution to conflict, including the ones we see in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, must be rooted in dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect — approached with the understanding that, at the deepest level, we are all brothers and sisters.
I urge for and pray that the violence and conflicts may soon come to an end.

Participated in a community forum at @GCU with police departments from across the Valley of the Sun, convened by community leader José Guzmán.
Direct dialogue matters. Clear information builds trust and strengthens our community.
