A6: I don't know exactly how much the country will lose but I do know that the US is importing more than we producing which is a bad thing. #tradinggreen
Q6: comparing the size of Germany to the US, how much money would you estimate our country would lose in a year if we kept having to import power to meet our needs during brownouts, or sell it at a negative profit when there are surpluses? #tradinggreen
Personally me I'm ok with less energy such as lights in the house. I rather keep blinds open and use natural light, as far as a car, we need transportation but maybe we can find ways to burn less gas, and layered clothing can minimize heat. #tradinggreen
Q5 follow-up: Do you believe the citizens would be willing to give up any luxuries at all if forced to by the government? That would mean not owning a car, limited heat in Winter, and a daily power allowance. #tradinggreen
A lifestyle change is necessary for all of us. I think we should also take better care of nature cause such as forest fires. It's been show that natural causes pollution is way stronger than what we do for energy. The nature that we do have, take care of it. #tradinggreen
Q5: if the Clean Power Plan or Green New Deal was reinstated or passed into law, how much of your life style would you be willing to change for the environment? #tradinggreen
As we proceed, ideas will only get better. It might not undo the emissions within a lifespan but we can better the materials and we can cut back on the traditional source of energy. #tradinggreen
Q4: what many people dont know is that emissions that are generated from mining the raw materials for solar panels and wind turbines. calculations show that the energy produced isn't enough to undo the emissions within its lifespan. Why should we still proceed? #tradinggreen
Some countries take world issues more serious than others. I feel like it is a difference but everyone isn't on one accord. It is like the world taking 3 steps forward and than 5 steps back. #tradinggreen
Q3: According to data from 2017, the US decreased its CO2 emissions by 42 million tons, while China increased theirs by 120 million tons. With these numbers on hand, are green initiatives in the US making enough of a difference, if at all? #tradinggreen
I don't think we should completely push away from traditional power sources. However, solar doesn't provide the same energy in all areas. I feel like we can work to create a balance in where we can get some kind of control.

Q2: Germany, a country that has gone 100% energy, has scheduled brownouts and surpluses because of lack of ability to store solar and wind energy long term. Based off of them, should we continue pushing away traditional power sources? #tradinggreen
I feel like it always room for improvement plus there are always new ideas floating around so with that being said, I wouldn't say a better decisions but we can find things that make sense. As long as it contribute to doing better.
A1: I feel like the US government isn't the only one that can handle the research. in fact it should be the whole world gaining the same knowledge and more research to take care of Earth. #tradinggreen
The first question is a straightforward one, to gauge the overall confidence. Do you believe that the US government is the only entity competent enough to handle green energy research? #tradinggreen
Welcome to the #tradinggreen live chat. I'll be posing questions at 6, 6:10, 6:20, 6:30, 6:40, & 6:50 PM, with follow-ups 5 minutes after. The topic of discussion is green energy, how it's being over sold, the true cost, and how its technology is limited
@ErikatDeVry A5: as far as cargo ships, it is one of our world most reliable ways for trade. In my opinion, it is our fault with the work smarter not harder mindset because it was a point of time where we traveled without burning gas, coals, etc... #waterawareness
@ErikatDeVry A3 This isn't doing anything but putting trash in another area, which its still apart of OUR ecosystem, which will fail in the long run #waterawareness
