Crypto is full of scams. Here’s how to spot them before you get rugged:

1️⃣ Anonymous Team? Proceed with caution.

Some anon teams are legit (e.g., Bitcoin’s Satoshi), but most aren’t.

If a project raises millions but refuses to reveal who’s behind it, ask yourself: Why?

Check LinkedIn, past work history, and if they’ve been involved in rug pulls before.

2️⃣ No product, only hype? Run.

If their main marketing strategy is “we’re gonna revolutionize X” but they have no MVP (minimum viable product), it’s probably vaporware.

Real projects have working products or at least an open-source repo showing progress.

3️⃣ 80% insider-owned supply? You’re exit liquidity.

If the team, advisors, and VCs control most of the tokens, they will dump on retail.

Check token distribution:
If >50% is unlocked and owned by insiders = 🚨
If liquidity is mostly in the team’s control = 🚨
If there’s no vesting schedule = 🚨

4️⃣ Inflated social proof? It’s all bots.

Discord/TG with thousands of members but nobody talking? It’s a bot farm.

Do a simple engagement check:
Real projects have active, intelligent discussions, not just “wen moon?” spam.

5️⃣ Ponzi tokenomics? The math never works.

If a project promises insane APY (like 1000%+), it’s either a Ponzi or unsustainable.

Ask: Where does the yield come from?
If new investors are paying old investors = Ponzi.
If rewards come from inflation = it will dump hard.

6️⃣ No smart contract audit? Don’t touch it.

Rug pulls happen because of backdoors in the code.
If there’s no audit, devs can:
- Mint unlimited tokens.
- Drain liquidity pools.
- Freeze your funds.

Check for reputable audits (Certik, Hacken, Slowmist, etc.). If they don’t have one, it’s high risk.

Final Rule: If it looks too good to be true, it’s a scam.

1000x gains overnight? Probably fake.
“Guaranteed” profits? They’re lying.

Stay sharp. Protect your bag.

Tag a friend so they don’t get rugged. 🚨👇
