Reminder for DJ/producers to show up to soundcheck:
We play a lot of stuff that's written in C/C#/D, which means the subs hit around 32-36hz. A lot of systems have a high-pass rolloff around 40-50z to take care of rumble from instruments/mics in music that's not bass heavy.
@jack_ternion Yea this is one of my least favorite things and its soooo common. Its wild to me that people who run sound professionally for bass music dont realize we need full spectrum sound. Most of my tracks fundamental frequencys are below 40hz.
I like to think of myself as a musician first producer second. But I think im at the point where the instrument im most proficient with is my DAW. Achieving musicality through automation and micro edits in depth really does feel like playing an instrument in the flow state.
@tygrisbass@phydra_ Its amazing hahaha and when robert sits down with them for the first time they are just like "were giving you a million dollars and your in the band now" lmao
The metallica some kind of monster documentary is probably the best movie i have ever seen. Basically live action Metalocalypse. its absolutely absurd. Extra funny if you are a musician/artist. Definitely watch it its on Netflix lol.
