Did You Know the African leopard is the king of the jungle, not the lion?

According to African Tradition and folklore the Lion isn't and has never been seen as the king of the jungle. This is just a Western misconception. Lions live in Savannah not in the rain forests or jungles.

The leopard is more respected because although it is smaller, it is much smarter. A leopard is much harder to ki.ll because it will attack in all directions and this is why Africans consider the leopard the king of the jungle.

The majority of the ethnicities in Africa strongly believe the leopard as the ultimate predator and king of the jungle hence why some Kings, Prince and Priest wear leopard skin as a sign of strength, courage and royalty. #Africa
