Rents in the UK are out of control. In London, they now swallow more than 40% of income. Across England, it’s 36%. For millions, life is no longer about living — it’s about paying landlords. This video explains why rent is dragging families and children into poverty, how landlords extract wealth from the poor to enrich the rich, and why rent caps and more public housing are the only way forward.

Dear UK Media:
No, Disabled People Aren’t Getting Free BMWs — And Here’s the Truth You Keep Ignoring
By Emma Dolan Horlock
(Chronically ill, slightly sarcastic, and extremely tired of correcting you)
A thread 🧵
Louise Haigh resigned as U.K. transport secretary and the Tories seized the moment to attack Labour with this statement:
“Louise Haigh has done the right thing in resigning. It is clear she has failed to behave to the standards expected of an MP."
Two words- brass neck
Said it before but I’m gonna keep saying it. MPs who earn £90k and can well afford their own bills should not be claiming energy expenses, while taking away winter fuel allowance from some of the most vulnerable in our society. They shouldn’t be refusing kids from low income households free school meals, when they get subsidies for food and even alcohol while at work. You know how fucking hypocritical can you be? You get me?
Before you vote, just remember what we have done for you:
-tanked the economy
-highest tax burden since WWII
-record NHS waiting lists
-huge energy bills
-biggest ever fall in living standards
-strikes
-suppression of protest
-rivers of shit
Vote Tory for more of this
