If you’ve noticed your account suddenly following users you’ve never interacted with, this may be why.

I discovered that @alphabot has access to my account and has been automatically following users without my consent. After checking my account activity logs, I noticed repeated IP address activity linked to @alphabot, and each time it matched exactly when new, unfamiliar accounts were followed.

This has happened four separate times now.

If you’ve ever connected Alphabot, I recommend: Going to Settings > Security & account access > Apps and sessions
Revoking Alphabot’s access immediately

I know it's stated in the app permissions that "it can follow and unfollow for you," but it was never meant to be this shady. The permissions were placed originally for raffles verification, but this is beyond that.

My guess is that @alphabot takes money behind our backs to perpetrate this shit as a sort of account growth tactic for their clients.

Always review what permissions apps have on your account. Silent actions like this can affect your credibility and account safety.
