So if someone were to hand over money for a 'course' with tutor support - in what way is this legal, and considering there are no staff left, how is this 'course' being delivered?
Despite its sole Director being declared bankrupt at the end of May, Oxbridge and its other brand, Barston College, remain able to process transactions from the public. Also all staff have been made redundant.

It's even worse than that, Melissa. Oxbridge continues to be able to process transactions on its website even though its sole director has been declared personally bankrupt.
Six weeks after the bankruptcy order, the Β£135,901 CCJ against Jones remains unsatisfied on the public register. The creditor joins a very long queue.
It's 6th July and Matthew Jones is still the sole shareholder and director of Home Learning Ltd despite being made personally bankrupt. There have been no updates to Companies House since being made bankrupt on 26th May. Both websites remain able to process transactions.

As of today, nearly a month after his bankruptcy order, Matthew Jones remains listed as an active director of Home Learning Limited (trading as Barston College) on Companies House. A bankrupt person cannot legally act as a director without court permission.

The court order for bankruptcy was on 26th of May. It's now the 19th of June and Companies House have not yet been notified that the Director of Home Learning Ltd (Barston/Oxbridge) is bankrupt.

Both the Oxbridge Home Learning and Barston College websites remain live and appear capable of processing transactions. A bankrupt person is legally prohibited from acting as a director without court permission.
