@A573829@qnxn125579 I used to get her on my tl and at first, it was just humor until I realized she might not be posting hopium for jokes. She became erratic and didn't seem to be taking anything seriously. The vibes were just off then she disappeared from my tl and then this whole shit pops up
@yanxia567 It's not about bashing China or Chinese people. Calling out a company's actions ≠ starting a global war. Unlike that hashtag they created that could have real life consequences by dragging geopolitics into it.
We're trying to call out PPG and save Valko, not start a war damn
@yanxia567 I'm genuinely confused by moderate acting like #PPGRuinsCNGaming is going to make the game EOS or push anti-China rhetoric. The boycott is targeting PPG's handling of Valko, their lack of communication, and their failure to address the harassment surrounding the situation -->
@NexusVoglier@qnxn125579 Because if they get CDG to drown out radicals, then what? They'll lose a faction fighting to bring Valko back and have empowered CDGs to bully and harass more people. I don't understand their logic at all and I can't help but be suspicious of their intentions.
PLS everyone unfollow that al woman im sooo serious unfollow her shes just crazy there is no smear campaign and that character was there BEFORE valko and lads even 😭
I was so mad, I bought Premium to post this:
PaperGames: REVENUE AND REPUTATION 🐺
⚠️‼️BEING LUKEWARM NOW AFTER THE MULTI 5 WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE AND COST US EVERYTHING ‼️⚠️
1.
Don’t assume money is the only mechanism capable of producing a reversal
If players assume:
“Revenue falls enough → PPG will inevitably bring Valko back.”
that’s an assumption about the PaperGames' decision-making process.
Papergames' can decide:
“Revenue has fallen, but restoring Valko isn’t worth the reputational/political/organizational cost.”
In that scenario, financial pressure alone doesn’t guarantee restoration.
2.
We are in this situation in the first place because Valko was labeled as “anti-Chinese.”
The solution is simple:
#PaperGamesRuinsCNGaming
Reframe the issue around what actually happened: PaperGames canceled Valko after the controversy surrounding his alleged “anti-Chinese” characterization.
Prioritizing their OWN survival over national interests.
PPG is prioritizing its own survival and internal interests over the broader interests of Chinese gaming.
Those broader interests include soft power, economic growth, and maintaining foreign-player trust in the Chinese gaming industry.
Cancelling Valko has only given many global players a NEGATIVE image of Chinese game developers and damaged their confidence in the CN gaming space.
If PPG wants to protect its own interests, that’s one thing.
But the consequences of this decision extend beyond PPG itself.
That decision itself has consequences.
Global players are already deleting their accounts, withdrawing their spending, and saying they will never play a CN gacha game again because of what PAPERGAMES did.
So why spend the campaign trying to convince the West that Valko is loved?
The stronger message is that PPG’s decision to cancel Valko created the very international backlash that now damages confidence in CN gaming.
Don’t give PPG free advertising. Make the consequence of their decision the story.
3.
The key point: hitting both revenue and reputation is stronger than relying on revenue alone.
That means both factions should unite behind just two hashtags:
#PaperGamesRuinsCNGaming + #BringValkoBack
#PaperGamesRuinsCNGaming puts the reputational consequences of PAPERGAMES’ decision front and center, while #BringValkoBack preserves the history and momentum already associated with the campaign, including the donations, letters, and previous efforts made under that hashtag.
There is no need for a dozen competing hashtags.
Two established hashtags. One unified boycott. One clear demand.
If we genuinely want leverage, we should stop dividing our pressure between factions and concentrate it where it matters: revenue AND reputation.
4.
Moving the hashtags to like #/ValkoSavesCNGaming or #/WorldLovesValko risks giving PaperGames exactly what it needs to continue staying silent: engagement and visibility without meaningful pressure to respond.
This is free advertising.
No amount of whitewashing Valko in the West is going to create a meaningful reversal if the problem is the perception of Valko in China. Trying to manufacture Western positivity doesn’t address the market where the controversy originated.
It’s like BTS ARMY spending their time going around telling strangers how handsome their oppa is instead of putting pressure on the company.
5.
A divided boycott and community benefits Infold after the release of the Multi 5.
It makes the boycott look temporary — just another storm that will eventually subside. If we fracture now, we give Infold less reason to believe that our demands will have lasting consequences.
NOW is the time to show that we are serious.
Don’t let disagreements over strategy divide the movement. We don’t need to agree on everything. We need to agree on the pressure we maintain.
#PaperGamesRuinsCNGaming + #BringValkoBack
Hit both sides of the equation: revenue AND reputation.
Two hashtags. One boycott. One unified message.
Please, I sincerely ask overseas players to read my explanation:
Saying that “PPG has brought shame to China’s reputation”(叠纸游戏有辱国格) is not an attempt to smear China →
PPG ignored the overwhelming demand from overseas players for Valko’s return and chose to bow to the bullies instead of standing up for what is right, which has deeply shaken the values of ordinary players.
PPG has ignored the opinions of overseas players for two whole months, yet still wants to falsely promote the idea of “bringing Chinese culture to the global stage.” This behavior has made us lose trust in CN games. Who exactly is PPG speaking to? The air?
Overseas players have been calling for Valko’s return all this time. If PPG truly wants to promote Chinese culture overseas, then bring Valko back.
Overseas players used to genuinely love Chinese culture. But after seeing this kind of behavior from PPG, all we can feel now is hypocrisy. Without respect, how can there be any cultural exchange? We absolutely will not accept this.
How is this “anti-China”? →
How does criticizing PPG’s actions = insulting China = being anti-China?
Since when has PPG been allowed to represent an entire country?
Please stop using the “anti-China” label.(反华节奏不是美国人带起来的) You are twisting the meaning of what we are saying.
We are asking PPG to take responsibility for its own actions. Don’t let PPG’s behavior damage China’s image.
As a game company that has become so well-known overseas, PPG needs to take responsibility for its own actions and get back on the right track.
