Nigeria appreciates this partnership with the United States in advancing our shared security objectives. I extend my sincere gratitude to President Trump for his leadership and unwavering support in this effort.
I commend the personnel involved on both sides for their professionalism and courage, and I look forward to more decisive strikes against all terrorist enclaves across the nation.
PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU
ORIIRE SCHOOL ABDUCTIONS
It is with deep grief and concern that I address the tragic security breach that occurred on Friday, May 15, in our dear state. The coordinated daylight attacks on Baptist Nursery and Primary School (Yawota), L.A. Primary School, and Community Grammar School (Ahoro-Esinele) in Oriire Local Government Area represent a painful attack on the peace and safety of our communities.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Joel Adesiyan, the Assistant Headmaster of L.A. Primary School, who lost his life while trying to protect himself and his students. We also mourn the innocent motorcycle rider who died during the incident. May their souls rest in peace, and may God grant their families the strength to bear this painful loss.
To the parents of the missing children, and to the families of the abducted principal, vice-principals, and teachers, I share in your pain. No parent should send a child to school and live in fear of not seeing them return home safely.
While I acknowledge the ongoing efforts of our security agencies and the current operations within the Old Oyo National Park corridor, this incident highlights serious gaps in our security system that demand urgent attention.
I urge residents of Oyo State, especially those in the Oke-Ogun and Oriire areas, to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that can aid ongoing operations.
Let us remain united, hopeful, and resolute as we pray and work for the safe return of our children.

He declared his intention on Tuesday at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
The event was attended by prominent members and leaders of the party, including Chief Kunle Sanda, Chief Isiaka Alimi and Chief Wale Sanusi, among others.
Adelabu while addressing the gathering noted that he joined the race because he believes that the state deserves more dividends of democracy.
Adelabu promised to implement projects and policies aimed at improving the living conditions of the people of the state.
He said, “Firstly, I want to thank Almighty Allah. We started this journey in 2019 and I believe 2027 will be our own time. We thank our past leaders, former governors of Oyo State who have passed away. I want to thank all the leaders here.
“This declaration message goes beyond declaration. It is the summary of Adebayo Adelabu’s manifesto. Today is a day to reclaim Oyo State to genuine progress.
“I stand before you with humility to declare my intention to contest for the gubernatorial election on the platform of our great party, APC, in 2027. I want to appreciate the President and Commander-in-chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Thank you for the renewed hope.
“Why am I contesting again? It is because I believe Oyo State deserves more. Oyo State deserves security and stability because governance goes beyond rethorics.
“I am contesting because I know that I have the experience and exposure to build a greater Oyo State that is economically advanced. Good governance must be felt at the grassroots.”

Watch out when you see any of these tweets from people,no need to argue with them ,just know they are one of the patient that escaped Aro hospital without proper treatment 🤝
Sadly, Governor surrounds himself with so many Yes men these days that nobody can argue. Same thing in the last days of Ajimobi in Govt house. Real ones gone, only Yes men around.
