@SkyNewsAust If wholesale prices are decreasing and retail prices continue to increase then it must be the retailers raking in all tbe money. Yet the Government or ACCC is doing nothing about it.
@DavidPocock But then you need the electrical infrastructure to charge the EVs and mist will want to charge during the day while at work when energy from PV is abundant, however existing buildings do not have the electrical capacity to install chargers and the cost will be huge per building
@QuentinDempster My Nokia 5110 lasted me 10 years but current phobes barely last 2 years. This will be the similar fate for EVs, they want you to remain a constant consumer or if they can get you as a subscriber.
How a football coach can discuss climate change with more common sense than all the politicians and renewable grifters combined.
Well done Phil Gould 👏
@HJoyOz@JacintaAllanMP True and the buyer should still be able to have their own report done but I think pest and building reports should also be the sellers responsibility and made available to buyers.
The NSW Premier has admitted what we have long warned about: when these "green" projects fail, the financial burden will fall on the landholders. We're already seeing rural residents sound the alarm over an abandoned solar farm left to rot.
Here's the double standard they won't tell you about:
In the coal industry, before a single shovel hits the ground, they must pay an environmental bond. That money is locked away to ensure the land is fully restored once the mine is finished.
Wind and Solar? No environmental bonds. No restoration fund.
When these companies walk away or go bust, they leave behind a "toxic wasteland" of non-recyclable turbine blades and solar panels. Without bonds in place, landowners and taxpayers are the ones left holding the bill to restore the land.
Wind and solar aren’t saving our environment. And if we don't demand the same accountability required of other industries, they’re going to destroy the environment and farms.
