Judge Komitee, worth over $100 million and a former prosecutor in the same district as the team targeting @carloswatson and @ozy, had glaring conflicts of interest. Far from being impartial, he acted like a member of the prosecution’s "committee," blocking key evidence and bolstering their arguments at every turn.
Judge Komitee denied Watson’s motion for recusal, noting that none of the four “victims” he has stock in lost any money because of Watson. Indeed this sets a dangerous precedent.

It’s enraging to know that @carloswatson of @ozy is facing 37 years in prison, given the presiding judge’s conflicts of interest. Judge Komitee admittedly has multi-million dollar financial stake, via Viking Global (where he was General Counsel), in businesses owned by the victims, and repeatedly made objections to the introduction of potentially exculpatory evidence, on behalf of the prosecution.
