Hello, this is PoGu. I translate stuff in my spare time. Usually, it'll be JP to EN. In here you'll find a thread of all of the stuff that I've worked on.
@petersaints@TaroTheCerelean The alternative is a console with none of the games you already own (and no shared saves at that), with a far smaller library of games, less capabilities, and requires a subscription just to go online
@princemjd08@TaroTheCerelean Sure, you can plug you PC into your TV, but very likely you'd have to be moving your build back and forth constantly, or drag an HDMI cable across your house
I own the deck and that was absolutely not my experience. Every game ran without Proton causing any sort of issue, they worked out of the box with no tinkering. The only time I ever had to do something with Proton was to run a non-steam game made for Windows, and all I had to do was download the Proton branch I needed and tell Steam to run the game using that Proton branch
@Arandomguyonth2@kunaiposting The PS5 does not have the sort of library the Steam Machine has access to
Also, you'd have to rebuy all of the games you already have on PC and content with both devices not having shared saves
@King_of_Heroes2 You get access to infinitely more games on the Steam Machine than on the PS5 by the virtue of it being a PC
Also, there exist other games than bloated AAA games
