With The Exorcist Martyrs you'd hope that Blumhouse would have seen from the success of Obsession that you don't have to be CGI silly to make something good. (Post Other Mommy). There's a grain of good possibilities in that trailer.

Watched Antonioni's Blow Up after many, many years. It's incredible. Always been a massive fan of The Passenger but forgot about this one. It's not the film you think it is.

I still think about Backrooms y'know. The sadness. The melancholy of empty rooms of piled up furniture. Post life. Remnants. Installations of regret. It tapped into some real horror. Not the daft pirate chase.

Other Mommy seems to be yet another non-horror 'horror' for the easily impressed. The only scary thing being Jessica Chastain's rapid relegation to the second division.
