We believe games are the most fertile ground for the evolution of artificial intelligence.
Unlike static datasets or closed-loop simulations, games offer open, multi-agent environments filled with unpredictability, moral ambiguity, social negotiation, and infinite edge cases—exactly the conditions where AI can grow from mechanical to meaningful.
In turn, we believe AI is what games have always lacked to truly evolve. For decades, games have been confined to scripted outcomes, pre-defined quests, and predictable enemies. To reach the next stage, games must become living systems—worlds that breathe, remember, respond, and change without requiring a designer to update every line of code. Worlds that simulate belief, conflict, consequence, and culture.
With Freya: The Starfall, our vision is to create the world’s first persistent, multi-agent fantasy universe where every character, from main heroes to unnamed port guards, is driven by memory, ideology, ambition, and consequence.
