It all started in 2018 when GG requested KKR to buy back Manish Pandey and SKY. He also suggested the captain and vice-captain.

They didn't listen. Instead, they wasted 3 RTMs on Uthappa, Chawla and Kuldeep.

‼️2020 -

Released Chris Lynn after he and Gill had finally solved the opening issues of the team.

‼️2021 -

Retaining Venky over Gill wasn't a bad decision.

But not communicating to Gill that he would be bought back at any cost in the auction was a huge mistake.

Gill definitely got hurt and accepted the GT offer.

We literally threw away a player we found, developed and backed, and gifted him to another team.

‼️2021 -

Eoin Morgan was our 2nd best captain after GG.

Till that year, with a mediocre team, he managed to take us to the finals.

Then they didn't even give him one more season as captain.

‼️2022 -

The only good thing he did was bringing in an experienced captain like Iyer and a player like Cummins.

The rest of the auction was a complete mess.

‼️2023 -

Another suffering year because of the mega auction.

Also, Iyer and Cummins were ruled out.

The only positives were Captain Rana and Rinku.

‼️2024 -

Finally, SRK stepped up after seeing the mediocre shitshow and called up GG to run the cricketing side.

With a mini auction, they constructed an excellent squad. ✅🔥

The only bad thing? This setup was available for just one year.

‼️2025 -

GG leaves KKR for ICT and takes away all the good coaches, except Chandu of course. 🤡

Shreyas knew that without GG this team couldn't do much.

He also showed his true colours of greed when DC and PBKS offered crazy money and a PR narrative was created about not getting enough credit.

The only good thing Venky did was the "retentions".

Two uncapped players for 8 crore.🔥

Two top-quality all-rounders.💎💎

An excellent Indian finisher.🔥

A top-quality Indian mystery💎 spinner .. a rare commodity.

And all of them absolutely loyal to KKR. 💜

Where things went wrong yet again was the 2025 mega auction.

One single buy.

Absolute ego in the bidding for Venkatesh Iyer.

The maximum amount should've been around 13-15 crore, but we went all the way to 23+.

That completely messed up the plans.

Honestly, I don't even think there was a plan.

The plan seemed to be buying back every former KKR player.

In a mega auction, you always need backups.

This is where Venky Mysore repeatedly fails.

That one decision cost us Starc, Salt and several other players. Including ishan , Buttler and Rahul went for less than 16<

And then we still didn't buy a captain or a wicketkeeper-batsman.

Again repeating the mistakes of the 2022 auction.

2026 -

Slightly better.

Allen, Green and Tyagi were excellent buys.💜

But it still doesn't solve the captaincy and wicketkeeper issues. Couldn't convince Sanju or Rahul to come..
