Good progress today on the hand. Now that I know silicone can be a viable passive return solution, next will be refining the attaching points, tension, and shore hardness.

Finally got the fabricator working with @ianpritchard. The attached videos demonstrate the carriage moving to home position, stretch test, and twisting test. Next will be to perfect coiling and make structural improvements. Muscle demonstrations coming soon!

I'm absolutely thrilled with this latest design! Optics-based sensing for ligaments, which is immune to static interference (unlike the previous builds).

It even picks up the slight jiggles in real-time!

A successful muscle coil!

We can make electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic muscles with this fabricator. It's such a versatile machine!
