@Silver__Santa where do you see spot gold and silver by the end of the year? I still feel like the lows are in front of us, but some of these juniors are so bombed out that they must have front run all or most of the eventual decline in the metals.
@Silver__Santa I'm generally inline with this road map. how much much of your junior portfolio do you plan to sell during q1 2026? and do you plan on buying downside protection ( puts on GDX for example)?
@TrevAHall $mau.v looking forward to it. I'm curious to hear how motivated they are to acquire production/development assets in west africa in the near term. or is that more of a post Kone story
@jfostertm $mau.v good point on the share structure. did the quick math and it looks like 51% is held by strategic investors, corporates, and directors/officers. presumably these shares won't be coming out anytime soon
@jfostertm I would generally agree with this assessment, but with experience/resources of the groups backing $mau.v this scenario seems more plausible than it otherwise would be. a higher share price would make this even more plausible
@jfostertm $mau.v regardless, I think it will become apparent to the market, once sentiment turns, how scare projects like this are. 300k + oz/yr, $1000 asic, in a reputable west african jurisdiction
@jfostertm $mau.v they did mention a JV as a potential option during the call. hopefully there exists some option to move this forward outside of waiting to get taken over at 0.1-0.2 price/nav. i think mgmt is too experienced to go that route
@jfostertm $mau.v hopefully they can hang on for a little while and let the sector run a bit and close the valuation gap. plus do some more regional exploration to see what other satellite pits exist to boost economics further. but agree that a takeout is the end game here.
@jfostertm I guess I am assuming a targets valuation is more depressed than $ore.to. though fully acknowledging the whole sector is in the dumps. particularly african focused. I wouldn't be opposed to a merger of equals, though that is always easier said than done
