In 2016, a rare Vaporeon spawned in Central Park.
People abandoned cars and sprinted through the park to catch it.
For one summer, Pokémon Go turned adults into wildlife.
🇸🇬 An interesting new initiative from Singapore; under a new policy introduced in certain areas, cats will now accompany security personnel on their nightly patrols. 🐱🚔
The goal is to both protect community cats and bring a little more warmth to the streets. From now on, the safety of Singapore's streets will be entrusted not only to security forces, but also to their four-legged partners. 😹
However, the system is already facing a few minor challenges. Some of the feline officers have reportedly been caught taking naps in the middle of their shifts, while others tend to disappear without notice and return whenever they feel like it. 😂
Even so, experts believe this may be one of the most adorable public safety projects in recent years. One thing is certain: this is a system that absolutely deserves to be adopted around the world. 🐱❤️🌍😹
Someone recreated the Pokémon Fossil Museum in Pokopia and took pictures of their game with the IRL exhibits! This is PEAK 😭

Who is YOSHIROTTEN and why did Pokémon trust him with a brand new card rarity for their biggest anniversary set ever?
Here's who he is and why this collab is a bigger deal than you think. 🧵👇
Everyone is chasing the big Prismatic Evolutions hits…
Meanwhile you can complete all 9 Eeveelution Poké Ball holos for under $20 total 👀
That’s less than the cost of most single IRs.
Honestly one of the nicest budget binder pages in Pokémon right now.

Biologist Sebastian S. Cocioba thought he was just booking a quiet Airbnb getaway in upstate New York with his partner, but the trip came with an unexpected guide named Cinamen.
The orange tabby cat, who lives at the property near the Appalachian Trail, apparently accompanies almost every guest on hikes through the woods.
According to Sebastian, Cinamen would walk ahead like a seasoned trail expert, stop whenever they wandered off course, and “complain” until they got back on the right path.
He said the cat somehow always knew the way home and even judged them for walking too slowly. Airbnb later responded to the viral post by calling Cinamen “the purrfect trail guide.”
The cat quickly became an internet favorite, with many people saying they now wanted to book the Airbnb just to hike with him.
One thing I absolutely refuse to do from now on is pay for these subscriptions only to sit in error screens or get signed out while bots take all the product.

This is LITERALLY what I live for.
The friendships, excitement, community, and getting to share this passion daily.
Seeing people have fun, win, and create real memories through Pokemon, collectibles, and something I helped build is genuinely one of the coolest feelings ever.
Dolphins are some of the few animals known to invent toys using nothing but their own breath. Biologists have captured footage of them deliberately exhaling perfect silver bubble rings underwater, then using their snouts to spin them, flip them, and swim right through them.
To celebrate my birthday, I want to do some Pokemon giveaways this week.
I will be giving out Beezie claw credits and slabs from my own pocket. Stay tuned, it will be simple to participate. First thing to do is share this.
We win together!
At first glance, this Pokémon card seems like a typical trainer card.
But did you know...
• Perrin is the only trainer in the main series game with the “Photographer” trainer type
• her ever-present Hisuian Growlithe reflected in the camera lens hints at its connecting Pokémon card art available in the same set (Twilight Masquerade)
• the artist who drew it, GIDORA (@_KING_GIDORA_), is best known for illustrating the Surging Sparks “Butthole” Pikachu SIR card
Pokémon card lore goes deep 📸
A Russian student who disappeared in the Himalayas in 2021 during a solo trek was discovered four years later by National Geographic journalists as the guardian of a high-altitude Buddhist monastery in Nepal.
24-year-old Alina Vetrova left Annapurna Base Camp and never returned. A rescue operation lasted three weeks, but an avalanche left her presumed dead. Her parents held a symbolic funeral in Novosibirsk.
In early 2025, however, a crew filming a documentary about lost monasteries discovered a young European-looking woman dressed in monastic robes and speaking fluent Tibetan and Nepali in a remote mountain temple at an altitude of 4,800 meters.
It turns out that Alina, who had lost consciousness from altitude sickness, was found by hermit monks, who cared for her for several months with herbal infusions. When she regained consciousness, the passes were already covered in snow - the descent was impossible until summer. During these months, she began to study Tibetan medicine and meditation.
According to the abbot, Alina had developed a rare gift - she could accurately recognize medicinal mountain herbs by their aroma, which the monks took as a sign of a reborn soul. She was given the name Tenzin Dolma and began training to succeed the monastery's apothecary, a position not held by anyone for 40 years.
Alina is now in charge of a collection of over 600 species of high-altitude plants. She wears a traditional burgundy robe, her head is shaved, and on her wrists she wears ritual yak bone bracelets, which she is allowed to wear as a sign of status. A dot of saffron paste is applied to her forehead daily during the morning ceremony.
When journalists ask her if she wants to return, Alina replies in Russian with a strong accent: “I’m already home. The mountains do not let out those they choose.”
Her parents have flown to Kathmandu. The meeting is scheduled for the end of the month.
