"These are all examples taken from the testimonies of parents and children for the group Parents Against Antisemitism, which was one of a number of bodies which helped shape Sir David Bell’s report into school antisemitism, which came out today." @nicolelampert

Parents Against Antisemitism (PAA) welcomes HM Government’s commitment to implementing the recommmendations of Sir Bell’s independent review into antisemitism in schools and colleges. The levels of antisemitism being reported by families are deeply alarming. All children must be safe at school.

Accepting the recommendations is an important first step. The priority now is rapid implementation, meaningful accountability and lasting change. PAA stands ready to work with the Government, sharing families' evidence so the recommendations become real improvements for children.

Antisemitism does not arise in a vacuum. The wider climate of hostility towards Jews, including the demonisation of Israel, has normalised it and carried it into schools. When hatred goes unchecked, the consequences reach the whole school and the values of the next generation.
@LBCNews Parents Against Antisemitism is grateful to Sir David Bell and team for shining a light on the experiences of Jewish students and families and for the measures he recommended, which we hope will create meaningful changes in our schools.

Credit where it’s due: well done to the Government for commissioning this report on antisemitism in schools.
The majority of children who witnessed antisemitic racism in schools believed that nothing would be done if they reported it.
That is damning.
