Mrs Rimmer spent the evening at Reutlingen Friendship group. We welcomed one of our great friends Petra, from our twinning town. Petra visited Yr 11 & 6th form lessons today & we planned future visits and projects. We can't wait to develop our links. @WhitbyHigh#diversitypledge
WOW WOW WOW. Huge congratulations to our U13 netball team who had a convincing victory against Rossall Public School in Fleetwood in the Quarter Finals of the Sisters in Sport National Cup. 35-11 was an inspiring victory #commitment@PE_WhitbyHigh@WhitbyHigh#excellencepledge
Another fantastic day in Germany. The students were taken on a tour by their exchange partners around Frankfurt. Our students are speaking more German each day and they went off for dinner with their partner families this evening. @WhitbyHigh@MFL_WhitbyHigh
The students were up at 6am and in school with their partners. This is a timetable for a class of 11 year olds. We were really interested in the differences. 6 lessons of English a week, only 5 of German! Some subjects are taught entirely in English too! @WhitbyHigh@MFL_WhitbyHigh
Year 9 and 10 students plus Mr Roberts & Mrs Ablett head off for a week in Dreieich, Frankfurt, to explore the German culture and meet up with their exchange partners at Heinrich-Heine Schule. Ich wünsche Ihnen eine fantastische Reise! @WhitbyHigh@MFL_WhitbyHigh#diversitypledge
Another busy day yesterday. Visiting the Palace of Versailles, the Galeries Lafayette and sampling fine Parisian cuisine at various brasseries. Students had time shopping and using their French skills. A fantastic bunch of students to spend a long weekend with @WhitbyHigh
Year 8 boys had a great evening playing Hungerball last night. They changed the focus from football to handball and made their own rules, increasing the difficulty and fitness levels required @Hungerball@PE_WhitbyHigh@WhitbyHigh#participationpledge
This week has been very busy, our Tudor Christmas helpers have been working on their 'Giving Pledges', by raising money to local charities through a delicious doughnut sale. @WhitbyHigh@PACE_TheWhitby
Today Mr Barford and Mrs Rimmer along with Sam Dawson and Evie Corkish paid their respects on behalf of TWHS at the Civic Service. It was wonderful to see all of our student cadets there. #Respect#ServicePledge#LeadershipPledge. We will remember them @WhitbyHigh
Fantastic progress from Mrs Rimmer's year 7 class in trampolining today. Developing their control and body alignment for swivel hips. Some students have never done trampolining so using lots of resilience. Great coaching from their peers @WhitbyHigh@PE_WhitbyHigh
