Anyone else remember when Special K created their own diet and it was basically just eating two bowls of Special K every day and everyone accepted that as medically sound?
This is so special. I could talk all day about her story and her personality. I want her to have the best life she can. Unfortunately a hip replacement is incredibly expensive. I appreciate anything you can donate. 💕
My foster dog Gretchen endured so much, living alone in a ditch and suffering from painful injuries. Now she’s safe and loved, but needs a hip replacement. If you’re able to donate, please click the link below. https://t.co/2zFkaUZZCc #bullterrier#minibullterrier#sanantonio
@tylerblack32@MHPoison1 I was treated for latent TB with INH a couple of years ago. After a month or two of treatment I thought “wow, my mood has been great.” Looked it up and learned it has MAO-I activity. Unfortunately my LFTs went up and I couldn’t continue my INH bliss 🤣
@DrSarahAxelrath My dog’s x-rays are so fascinating to me. We think she got hit by a car when she was on the street. Now I’m picturing her in one of those little beds on the table like yours 🙂
Peter Deusberg has died. The biologist is centrally responsible for the HIV denialist movement, which has killed many people and which rages to this day. This despite the fact that combination antiretroviral therapy has been on the market for 30 years and has proven to be one of the most successful pharmaceutical interventions in history.
In the early 2000s, South Africa's president fell under the sway of American HIV denialism and delayed the roll out of HIV treatment. An estimated 300,000 people died as a result.
I interviewed Christine Maggiore, one of Duesberg's most able lieutenants, in 2006, right after her daughter died of AIDS. She was the most paranoid and mistrustful person I've ever met. She died of AIDS herself a few years later.
To put it simply: HIV, left untreated, causes AIDS. AIDS is fatal. But HIV treatment works. It extends life to near normal and it prevents transmission.
Consider the source. "There are much better candidates than HIV for what causes AIDS". RFK Jr. in a June 2023 interview with New York Magazine. You read the year correctly 2023 not 1981. HIV causes AIDS. Antiretrovirals including AZT have saved millions of lives.
In symptomatic adults with a coronary artery calcification (CAC) score of zero, elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol were associated with increased risks for noncalcified plaques and future coronary heart disease events, especially in those younger than 45 years. https://t.co/DxX7fLp2DQ
I’ve been trying to get the other $54.12 refunded to me but in store and online customer service says there’s nothing they can do. I would get it if I were trying to return it after say, 90 days, but come on.
@Target I bought the KSNY & Target record player on 4/18. It didn’t work. I tried to return it today, 6 days out of the return window, and could only get half of what I paid in store credit. I know I’m a few days late but why should I be penalized for a defective product?

@PaulNWilliamz I cannot describe how much I hate that posts on Blue Sky are called skeets. Other than that, it’s been nice to see so of the MedTwitter content again.
