Please everyone help. I am trying to do a Christmas miracle and make someone happy. Yesterday (21/12/25) in @Bullring we found this lost platinum wedding band. It is name and date engraved, and has more detail. I want to reunite it with its rightful owner. Retweets might help.
@DeltaGarforth It was great to be part of the team delivering these sessions. It was extra enjoyable because of the excellent behaviour and enthusiastic participation of the students. Thank you for hosting us. #RestartAHeart
@MrTimDunn@tfwrail This sounds great. We'd love to take trips like this for pleasure but don't know where to go. Is there a website with recommendations of lovely trips to take? Ideally with tips like yours about finding the best trains or prices.
Our railway system isn’t *always* great, but there *are*some bits which are extraordinarily ACE. One such is @tfwrail’s dining car service, between Cardiff & Manchester: I’ve just settled down to a £12.50 chef-cooked breakfast; my first class ticket was just £5 more than the standard.
I’m sitting in a glorious Mk4 carriage with leather seats and windows aligned for picture-perfect views of cloud-topped and wooded Herefordshire and Shropshire hills. Castles and churches, signal boxes and wind turbines: this railway line up through Ludlow and Shrewsbury is one of my happy places, and it’s made even better by the superbly-specified train and the extremely engaging and enthusiastic team aboard.
Honestly, it’s worth doing any long segment of this journey: even in standard class there’s an at-seat service of freshly-cooked breakfast menu or later, lunches and dinner. You can tell which trains are planned to have the service by looking for TfW trains which are marked with 1st class too. More people need to know about this, and I genuinely recommend this trip to you too.
@BBCNews BBC News:
What about the carbon footprint of hauling a heavy commodity like water across huge areas in heavy glass bottles? And if they are not in glass they are in plastic which often ends up not being recycled. All this when tap water in the UK is safe to drink.
In an impressive performance, Y3&4 girls won the Woodlesford Cup U9s Girls tournament this afternoon! Competing against teams from all across Leeds, they didn't lose any of their 6 games and only conceded 2 goals all afternoon. Superstars!
