A decent chunk of my time is already taken out because it takes 15-20 mins for the entire parking meter app system to work. And how can I trust technology not to fail and me end up with a ticket? Technology fails all the time. No ticket stub?! Come on. It’s ludacris.
Twitter asks me “What’s happening?” And that is exactly what I ask myself when I pull up to a parking spot in a city or at the beach and there are signs saying that I need to download an app and create an account in order to pay $4.25 to park my car for a couple hours. Sickening.
Tossing a few quarters into a parking meter, what happened to that? So simple, so quick, so effective. Albeit, the app has one perk, and that is being able to extend parking time from a distance. That is where the perks end. The cons far outweigh the pros.
Today I had one of the single most horrific experiences of my life. All I wanted to do was park my car, but no. Download this app, create an account, upload card, phone number, email, etc. It was a 20 minute process to park my car.
