Next bounce play to watch is $VCIG.
Very lucky and grateful for how things turned out. Will likely take rest of the week off as the past week was an emotional roller coaster, and need to do some studying and recoup as these were some horrible trades.
2 trades that I got very lucky on. Funny how last time I posted about how well I approached $MGOL and how to trade the bounce play…then I go and ignore everything I said😂
1st trade: $BAOS 8.64-8.18 w 1400 shares. Multiday bounce that I sized up too big while chasing
Lessons from $AHI:
- Don’t add to losers, protect yourself and cut loss
- You don’t know how far a stock will dip, wait for the day it bounces to trade.
- It is okay to miss a play, no need to force anything. There will be other plays.
- Don’t mistake luck for skill
Watchlist for 6/12, top play is $BAOS. The other bounce plays have been taking a while to set up for a bounce and are double bottoming. They could offer something if volume picks up, but heading into the day main watch is $BAOS.
-on average the bounce offers about a 30% move from previous close. Be as patient as possible until it either approaches 20-30% to sell, or cut losses at day low.
In this pattern I aim to capture the first bounce from shorts locking in profits and dip buyers coming back.
$MGOL multiday bounce yesterday. Took a while to set up but came through!
1.94-2.43 w 5,200 shares. Was able to slowly size up as it kept holding around vwap and the momo shift trigger(morning high). Sold as it was approaching whole/half $ lvl after an aggressive push and up 30%
- ideal entries are the hod break and when it confirms that area. It shows that it does not want to keep fading and that momo is shifting which will lead to the likely squeeze. I usually put a starter then size up,examples below(last one is ex of the bounce being tricky to time)
May 2023 trades and lessons(at the end of this thread)
Here a trades from this past month:
$MEGL, multiday bounce, held up and had a vol perk that led to the weak bounce. Glad I was not greedy and sold into strength.
2.46-2.75(11.8%) w 1700 shares
Watchlist for 5/30, top plays $AVRO $UTRS $HTCR $CWBR
Likely won’t have much screen time the next few days, but if I do watch, excited to possibly play some bounce plays!
5) Stick to rules and data. I did a really good job with entries and exits. The best entry for the multiday bounce is on the hod break after at least a few minutes of holding up, and I did good trusting the pattern and not getting in prematurely and selling into strength!
