This Spring quarter, the PATHS Program hosted a 3- Part Vitals Training Workshop, facilitated by PATHS Scholars Anasilvia Herrera Fuentes, Carina Rocha, and Christopher Huerta. Scholars learned how to accurately measure, record, and interpret cardiac vital and respiratory signs.
On April 22nd, the PATHS Scholars Program honored our faculty, industry, and community mentors at our Mentor Appreciation Luncheon. This event served as an opportunity to hear where PATHS is headed and how we can collectively continue to make an impact on supporting STEM scholars
Last month, PATHS Scholars attended the Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) at UC San Diego to present their research. URC is one of UCSD's signature events celebrating undergraduate excellence in research. We are proud to celebrate this exciting milestone with our scholars!
On April 15th, UC San Diego Alumni, Lijun Liu, facilitated a workshop covering his professional journey in entrepreneurship and biotechnology. As the co-founder and CEO of Fan-Fan and Taste of Hunan, Lijun shares his mission to give UCSD students their "home away from home."
This month, Lupe Fernandez, Director of the PATHS Program, attended the Alumni and Leaders Convening Conference hosted by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. The conference brought together leaders empowering students with the knowledge and resources to succeed in higher education.

Throwback to last Fall quarter's staff bonding event at the Escape Game. PATHS career staff and student staff gathered for an immersive evening of solving interconnected puzzles and uncovering hidden clues. Our team worked together to navigate the course and successfully escaped.

Throwback to our Application Feedback workshop last quarter, where PATHS Graduate Advocates (GAs) supported our scholars in their essays, resumes, cover letters, and personal statements. Our GAs provided invaluable insight to standing out as strong candidates.

On February 23rd, PATHS Scholars, Nadia Burciu and Shayna Salerno, presented at the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (@SACNAS ) at UC San Diego Conference, an organization dedicated to supporting students pursuing STEM fields.

This quarter, the PATHS Program hosted the GUIDES Mentorship Program & Alumni Mixer at the Game Room on campus for scholars to gather for an evening of fun and community. This event provided a space for scholars to build connections with mentors and alumni in the program.
PATHS Scholars Gaby Marcial and P6 Marie Joe Franci presented on the NSF's REU program. Gaby detailed her marine ecology research at the University of Washington, and Marie Joe discussed her nanoscale immunoengineering work through the SURE program at Columbia University.
On February 7th, pre-med PATHS Scholars attended the Medical Education for Diverse Students Conference at UC San Diego. The conference provided our scholars with foundational tools for success and covered every component of the application process.

Last month, P5 scholar Gaby Marcial presented her research on the dietary consequences of invasive Sargassum seaweed on the graceful kelp crab (Pugettia gracilis) at the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) Conference.
