None of those who study and believe the Bible should be surprised by what happened in Las Vegas because we should not be surprised by evil or the prince of this world. In our daily battle against evil, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, a Stephen Paddock, or whatever vessel of Satan; “we wrestle against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." There is a constant competition among a certain group of men, to which most people are excluded because they simply do not earn enough to come close. However, the old boys’ club is being overcome by some "Johnny come latelies" to the "Who is... Read more: https://t.co/r1JfWH6kk0

During my college years, a new student came to our school at the beginning of the winter semester and joined our winter track team. As we worked out on the outdoor circular wooden track built above the snow drifts below, we had the opportunity to discuss our track backgrounds. We were shocked when our new teammate told us some of his running times for various races. They were surprisingly Olympic-level times. If true, why had he come to our college? He most certainly should have been at a Division 1 school with a very strong track reputation. It turned out that he was, in fact, lying, and about far more in his life than just track. A few years ago, I asked a Navy vet and retired ship captain friend who was both older than me and quite ill at that point, “What do you think happens when you take your last breath? He answered quickly, "Nothing!" He said, “That is it... Read more: https://t.co/svNyVKvo7k
“Requiescat in pace” is the oft-expressed Latin phrase for the familiar “RIP” used in many a funeral liturgy or in offering a blessing toward one who has just died, as if a human blessing could carry any weight to ensure a destiny of peace for one who has forever crossed the barrier between life and death. I rather imagine the unbeliever in particular is at an awkward loss for words of anything else to say of one who has breathed their last, other than “Rest in peace.” Read more: https://t.co/ZDs3mPZkbT

From transformation to testimony 🙌
Nathan Perkins, a 2007 graduate of the Paul Anderson Youth Home, shares how his time at PAYH didn’t just change his life—it helped shape his future.
In this powerful video, Nathan reflects on the impact the Home had on him as a young man, and why he continues to give back year after year through the Paul Anderson Golf Classic. What was once an investment in his life is now a legacy he’s helping pass on to others—including his own family.
His story is a reminder that the mission of PAYH doesn’t end when a young man graduates—it continues for generations.
Lives are changed. Families are strengthened. Legacies are built.
