I Really Wanted It… But Something Felt Off
Last week, I walked into a store and spotted the most beautiful handcrafted leather journal. The kind you just know would make you feel like a best seller
I picked it up, admired it, flipped through the crisp pages…but then I paused
If your style is scattered or robotic, you’ll confuse your audience.
But if it’s authentic, intentional, and consistent, you’ll convert strangers into loyal fans.
It's not just grammar and pretty words.
It’s how your audience feels when they read your content.
Whether you're a coach, a creative, or a founder, you need more than a logo.
You need a voice that sticks.
Let’s be real, people don’t just buy products or services anymore. They buy connection.
And the quickest way to create connection in a digital world?
Your writing.
The tone you use. The words you choose. The rhythm of your posts. That’s your brand writing style.
Then it occurred to me that this is the same thing that happens in businesses, making them loose unnecessary sales
Now the question is
If your brand had a voice, would people recognize it in a crowd?
The label was vague. The instructions? Non-existent. The sales rep couldn’t explain why it was different from the cheaper ones I’d seen.
And so, despite wanting it, I put it back.
Why?
Because I didn’t understand it , and if I can’t understand it, I can’t connect with it.
