@booksaremybag Just finished ‘The Mad Women’s Ball by Victoria Mas. Extraordinary! Absolutely loved it and would happily read it all over again #amreading
Dear @trussliz
You said today “I grew up in the 1980s, which were characterised by boarded up shops, people with no hope turning to drugs, families struggling to put food on the table. And that's why we need to get back to Thatcherism”
Margaret Thatcher was PM from 1979 to 1990.
It’s a two-book month in The Reading Room!We reading Virginia Woolf’s ‘Mrs Dalloway’ alongside Michael Cunningham’s novel ‘The Hours.’ So looking forward to exploring them both in conversation. #amreading#thereadingroom

So sad to hear this news. I adore Hilary Mantel’s writing — the Wolf Hall trilogy is utterly extraordinary — and I only recently finished “Every Day is Mother’s Day” which could not have been more different, but equally brilliant in its own way. Very, very sad.
A great shock and a huge loss to book-lovers around the globe, RIP Hilary Mantel, world-builder and irreplaceable creative genius. Listen again to her at her dazzling best talking to @HarriettSG and readers at the South Bank Centre in 2018 https://t.co/6AvgcDFQD5
@booksaremybag I just finished ‘Ariadne’ by Jennifer Saint. Nearly done ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ on @audibleuk. And just started ‘Tulip Fever’ by Deborah Moggach. 📚📚📚
Just finalising the line up for this year's #Tringbookfest

Good morning! What are you reading? I finished #GrahamSwift’s extraordinary ‘Mothering Sunday’ yesterday—think we’ll be reading that in the Reading Room soon!—and have started @hilarymantel’s ‘Every Day is Mother’s Day’ now. Bit of a theme, title-wise… #amreading
On #nationalreadabookday I’m reading #PandorasJar by the incomparable @officialnhaynes. Thinking a LOT about stories and the ways they shape how we see the world. And I love a book that makes me think. What are YOU reading today? #amreading
