One thing I have learned is I’m very comfortable with losing my own money but I feel sick at the thought of my enthusiasm/optimism for something having a negative impact on others. Again hopefully nobody is overextended.

@Jonatha68610525 Is that the case? Regardless the ability to change bets has always been in the ts&cs it was just immediate before. They actually added the 30 days because Akash thought traders would like it (yes they year are a joke)

@FTI_emperor @Jonatha68610525 For instant sell/lack of liquidity I think UKGC are chasing issues. Only reason I can think of why they wouldn’t be putting walls in.

@FTI_emperor @Jonatha68610525 Yes fair points regarding media opening up and matrix (although they increased divs to compensate both). Adding value to other players doesn’t remove value from a bet in terms of payouts so would dispute that point.

They can’t increase divs unless they have the money set aside.

@indexshutch7 @FootballIndex The instigator is ipd>commission and prices not looking like rising to sustainable levels. Plenty of other traders who have looked at the figures came to the same conclusion not surprising FI did too. Let’s see if they come up with a suitable replacement.

A really bold move. The onus is on @FootballIndex to ensure nobody holding ipd players (which is all players atm) is negatively impacted by this. "New trading incentives and opportunities, incorporating each position, to go live before IPDs end." must be a winner for all!

@ifoundthates @ASFootballIndex @GingerPirlo_FI @FootieIndexAl I struggle to think what else they could concoct though? Permanent goal and assist dividends don’t seem likely. TOTW doesn’t help many players. They trailed SMDP before which I thought was a hint around the last increase

@GingerPirlo_FI @ifoundthates @FootieIndexAl SMDP if done correctly would greatly help cheaper players. Not sure how they help strikers without changing the matrix to make it more suitable for that kind of payout. I hope they’ve thought this through properly.

@GingerPirlo_FI @ifoundthates @FootieIndexAl FI should want as many players as possible to be tradeable. PB currently too random for the value to be reflected in prices and see significant trading under this system. In their interests to make sure players aren’t harmed.

It's very delicate situation FI have put themselves in, no idea why they didn't announce the changes immediately. They absolutely cannot screw over anyone's holds. To have a football stock market Goalscorers need to be some of the highest dividend earners, nonsensical otherwise.

@fozziebear_fi @FootballIndex You can't have a football stock market where goalscorers don't win a significant chunk of the dividends. I'm sure they are aware of that.
