On very hot days, waste collection may start earlier than usual for the safety of collection drivers. Residential customers should set garbage, recycling, and compost bins out at the curb the night before.

On Wednesday, July 22, collection may start as early as 5 a.m. to protect the health and safety of waste collection drivers.

SE 17th Ave is reopen to traffic after a leak was discovered yesterday afternoon. Crews worked to locate what turned out to be a quarter inch crack in an 8-inch cast iron water main. The main was successfully repaired with a full circle repair clamp. Thanks for your patience, and to the crews who worked into the evening to make the repair.
