Join us for the Good Neighbor Awards on May 21, 2025 on the SteelStacks campus at our home, the Univest Public Media Center. The Good Neighbor Awards are given each year in the spirit of Fred Rogers, who was everyone's neighbor.
Lehigh Valley Public Media will recognize our neighbors who make significant contributions to improve the quality of life in the Lehigh Valley. All funds raised support the Good Neighbor Fund, which addresses the critical needs of our community by providing education programs like Scholastic Scrimmage, Book Nooks, and Good News at #PBS39 to children, families, and educators throughout the region.
Interested in supporting our event and our nonprofit organization as a sponsor? Contact Julie Brinker or Adrienne Tunke on our Development team.

Join PBS39 for Ken Burns' newest documentary about the innovations and creativity of luminary Leonardo Da Vinci. LEONARDO da VINCI looks at how the artist influenced and inspired future generations, and it finds in his soaring imagination and profound intellect the foundation for a conversation we are still having today: what is our relationship with nature and what does it mean to be human.
After the screening, Dr. Eric Hupe, assistant professor of art history at Lafayette College, will explore current innovations in bringing art to the public through his speciality, virtual reality.
Guests will have the opportunity to walk around a Renaissance space and view Italian frescoes up close through virtual reality, and learn about Dr. Hupe's unique entry point to opening up bigger questions about how we experience art and place, for all lifelong learners.

This is the way media seemingly works these days, but unyielding credit to Jeff Frederick, a colleague here at Lehigh Valley Public Media who shot one of the most viral videos in the country yesterday that was taken and used without permission by a lot of folks.
People are digesting a lot this morning (and I'm digesting a lot of coffee).
I'm really proud of our little engine that could at Lehigh Valley Public Media -- @LVNewsdotcom, @PBS39Channel and @WLVRNews for a massive team effort for really comprehensive election coverage.
Our digital news team at @LVNewsdotcom burned the midnight oil last night and are still going strong today with updates on which candidates won the local races.

Some polls have closed across the country. How did our local voters fare today at their respective polling places? Check out this video by Grace Oddo.

From @RyanGaylorNews: Northampton County has confirmed 5 additional voting machines and additional personnel have been sent to The Banana Factory to combat the long wait times.
Polls close at 8 p.m. You can vote if you are in line by 8 p.m.
If you did not return your mail ballot and want to vote at the polls, bring your mail ballot packet, including the outer envelope, to your polling place to be voided. Then you can vote on your county’s voting system.
