PBS GROUP categorically rejects claims that an engine manufactured by the company was involved in the attack on Kyiv. We supply our Ukrainian partners only with fully documented and traceable engines. Since the start of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, PBS GROUP has not delivered any products to Russia and we trade exclusively with vetted customers. We categorically do not supply countries or entities listed on international sanctions lists.
All of our customers are contractually prohibited from re-export. We have carried out a comprehensive audit of our commercial partners and their ties, and we use a continuous monitoring service of customs transactions provided by Datlab, which also flags potential re-exports of our products by third parties; any discrepancies identified are addressed without delay. We do everything possible and, if anything were nonetheless to reach Russia, it would most likely be goods produced before sanctions were imposed or an isolated re-export beyond our control—complete elimination cannot be guaranteed in global supply chains.
It is also clear from the published image that the engine shown is not a PBS unit—the key indicator is an obvious difference in the rear mounting interface. Moreover, the second published photograph shows a Bosch-brand pump, which our company does not use in any of our products. We have asked the Ukrainian authorities for the opportunity to conduct an on-site technical inspection and are prepared to dispatch our engineer to precisely identify the differences and help determine the likely manufacturer of the engine.
We would also recall last year’s case in which a motor allegedly made by PBS GROUP was found in a Russian drone; an independent investigation conducted directly in Ukraine established that it was an Iranian-made engine similar to our product. The outcome of that investigation was officially confirmed in a report by a UN Panel of Experts. It is highly likely that we are facing a similar situation here, but we will have this case thoroughly verified as well.
PBS GROUP undergoes regular export-control screenings for dual-use items, including military applications. We likewise meet the strict vetting processes and criteria of our customers among leading Western aerospace and defence manufacturers.
Regarding the published photographs, we would like to point out that the first one shows an engine with a different technical design. We will know more after visiting the site of the wreckage, which we have requested from the Ukrainian side.
The second photograph shows a Bosch product, which we do not use in our engines at all.
The conclusion that a PBS engine was used is premature and incorrect.
V PBS GROUP dnes vyrábíme desetkrát více motorů než před válkou na Ukrajině. Co takový růst znamená pro výrobu a jaké máme další plány, jsem probral s Petrem Kainem v podcastu Na vlně podnikání.

Innovation matters. Manufacturing matters just as much.
As our CEO points out, the ability to transform advanced technologies into scalable production will be a key competitive advantage in the years ahead.
V oblasti bezpilotních systémů dnes sledujeme mimořádně rychlý technologický vývoj. Roste význam výkonnějších pohonných jednotek, zkracují se vývojové cykly a stále větší roli hraje schopnost rychle převést inovace do sériové výroby.
Jsem přesvědčen, že právě kombinace technologického know-how a silné průmyslové základny bude rozhodovat o konkurenceschopnosti Evropy v příštích letech.
V @PBS_GRP proto dlouhodobě investujeme do vývoje vlastních technologií i rozšiřování výrobních kapacit.
