We have a First Family that's competing with the common mwananchi in doing business. Starting with Ruto: He killed maize farming in Kenya. He plants over 500 thousand acres in Congo and Zambia, then imports the maize back to compete with local farmers in the market who depend on 5 acres or less. Today, farmers have recorded the lowest prices in market since time immemorial.

This is after sending the best hybrid seeds from Kenya Seed and grade 1 fertilizer to his farms in Congo and Zambia, leaving Kenyan farmers with substandard seeds and fake fertilizer. The same thing is happening in the poultry industry: he's competing with mkulima mdogo who's struggling to buy feeds, yet Ruto is importing raw materials duty-free.

His daughter has also hurt the bee farming industry; she supplies almost all the hotels and supermarkets in Kenya. She has thousands of beehives that produce almost 75% of our local demand, leaving only 25% for the small-scale farmers to fight over. She's also involved in the cab business and graphic design.

His son, George Ruto, is now in the matatu business, where they don't follow the sacco regulations, so they drop and pick up passengers anywhere, leading to unfair competition since other matatus are forced to follow rules. The son is also involved in entertainment and event planning.

I understand there's no monopoly on doing business such as farming or the matatu industry, but for a family that's considered to be billionaires, it's fair for them to major in manufacturing and production vis-a-vis value addition.

The Kenyatta family involved themselves in manufacturing and the banking industry where farmers benefited. Milk farmers, tea and coffee farmers, maize farmers, and matatu owners, etc, used to smile all the way to the bank because there was fair competition in the market.

Why does the First Family want to micromanage all sectors, including hotels and hospitals? The Wife started a chain of hospitals called LIFE CARE and they are forcing national and county employees to be treated in them on SHIF and other insurances.

Do you want to say this family has no capacity nor brains to do manufacturing, and that matatus and honey hawking is the only thing they can manage? When the CEO of a country starts competing with the common mwananchi in various sectors, you have a billion reasons to get worried. It's like a father competing for breast milk with a baby.
