Shane Warne : "when you compare any cricketer with Sachin , you have to consider not only records but also age . Sachin announced himself to the world at the age where many of us were playing school cricket ."
Warne is absolutely right here,

@ImTanujSingh if India is a serious nation, they should not tour hizdadesh for at least 10 years after what hizdadesh did during ICC t20 world cup 2026
Dehatification of Hindustān started with Gangs of Wasseypur (circa 2012).
We are going abysmally backwards and normalising it.

"1983 WORLD CUP AEK TUKKA THA"
Meet Ranjit Bajaj 🤡
> This guy wants to become the head coach of the Indian football team.
> How am I supposed to believe that this guy is fit to coach a national sports team when as a sports coach, he calls an entire team's World Cup victory a "tukka"?
> A national team goes through years of preparation, practice, failures, lessons and hard work before finally winning a World Cup.
> Has fame and the support of the public gone over his head?

Klusener was a monster, but I’m not diluting the quality with a non-ATG 5th bowler.
I went for a more attacking spinner. Garner was incredible, but I wanted extra pace for the subcontinent.
🚨 THE ROHIT SHARMA SHOW ON SONY 🚨
- The Hitman Rohit Sharma is set to make his television & entertainment debut with a new show on Sony Network. (ET).
I think Rajkumar Santoshi is the only living director of Hindi cinema who has iconic films in every single mainstream genre.
Comdey - AAA
Action - Ghayal, Ghatak
Biopic - The Legend of Bhagat Singh
Rom Com - APKGK
Social Drama - Damini
- Made India a nuclear-armed country without bowing down to US and its allies, despite facing sanctions.
- Under his leadership, India won the Kargil war against Pakistan.
- Started Golden Quadrilateral project.
That is quite easy. The tougher one is 6 to 10. Although there would be a debate over VVS or Sehwag at five. The first four - SRT, SMG, Dravid, Kohli. You should ask about six to 10 as it would lead to a massive debate. 😂
Most likely - Hazare, M Amarnath, Vishy and Pujara - 7 to 10. Number 6 - VVS or Sehwag. My apologies to fans of Dilip V (modest record away), Azhar, Pant and Ganguly.
Side note - Vijay Merchant didn't play enough Tests.
With such mediocrity India managed to play the final of ICC KO 2000, CT 2002 and WC 2003, that too in an era when teams like SL, Pak, and WI to some extent were a formidable unit in ODIs along with Aus, SA, Ind and NZ.
Greg Chappell was a brilliant thinker of the game. He was the first one to raise the flag about 2000s batch of players that they were not good enough to win any trophy.
Straightaway after his arrival, he wanted to get rid of a lot of senior players.
He knew the next World Cup was gonna be in West Indies where the games would be high scoring and the snails in the middle order would ensure India wouldn't get anywhere close to semis.
If he had his way, a lot of attacking players would have played in the middle order in 2007 World Cup and India would have had batting depth.
There was a reason he was keen to promote Irfan, Dhoni and Raina. He would have found many more players like that.
But unfortunately there were two or three people who didn't let him succeed because he was ready to challenge their demigod status. Dravid was the only senior player who supported him.
If Chappell got the support of the BCCI, India would have reached the semis or probably even the final of 2007 ODI World Cup. But, all he got was an unceremonious sacking.
It's amazing how much mediocrity the 2000s batch of players had and they still managed to gaslight everyone.
