@aliceesweett 36 years if not having a single girlfriend. No sex, no love, no anything and still survivng and struggling. I'm not crying to be with someone lol.
@jknewlife I honestly get this so much. I'm in my mid 30's as well, been trying online dating since I'm never really out in person to try and meet people. It's just zero luck or just woman looking for only friends. My mom was actually understanding when she was alive and understood me.
If you self isolate when things get incredibly tough.
And you push everyone away.
Itโs because you had to pull yourself out of every dark place alone.
Because you never knew what it was like to be supported.
Because the only person you had to rely on was you.
Because no one ever had your back.
If you understand this Iโm truly fucking sorry.
@minordissent As a straight man of 35 who has been trying for a long time to find someone to date and just experience having a girlfriend once, Its truly miserable. Any dating app currently out there is just bots or woman out of country looking for a free ride to this country. I just can't win
Depression isnโt always sadness.
Sometimes itโs:
โข Not having energy to shower or eat
โข Feeling numb instead of sad
โข Wanting to talk but not having the words
โข Smiling so people donโt worry
โข Feeling guilty for struggling
Itโs heavy. And itโs misunderstood.
@LividPuppy Wow thats horrible news to hear. Hopefully things will get better for you soon. Keep your head held up your doing great going through this.
@rarity_gem Aw that sucks too hear. l'm not sure then other than a local park maybe but not wanting to go out makes it hard. And no local friends is hard too. If you need to vent or chat sometime you could hit me up in dm's. I know we haven't talked before if you'd like. No pressure.
@rarity_gem You live you can jist go chill at the outdoor space. Maybe try going to the movies or walking around a local mall? I know its hard, truly as a few friends and me are stuck in this position as well and it's taking a huge mental and physical toll on us.
@rarity_gem I'm honestly in the same boat right now. Having been laid off from my previous job i'm struggling hard just like you are. I don't know your whole circumstance but do have any friends you can try to hang with even at your place? Maybe if you have some kind of outdoor area at where
Things my mental illness sometimes stops me doing..
โข picking up the phone
โข leaving the house
โข eating healthy
โข exercising
โข laughing
โข doing my hair or makeup
โข getting dressed
Sometimes being able to do one of these things is a victory.
Retweet if you understand
@That_Flying_Fox Square one myself. Thankfully I got a severance to help out for a little while and some money saved up but its sucky it really is.
If you want to talk or hang or vent you can reach out(I'm terrible at reaching out I know) but I do like to listen and just be there if you need it.
@That_Flying_Fox Hey I'm sorry your going through this bud its hard and shitty I know. I was just layed off and i'm honestly scared I might be screwed trying to find a decent job that I work at. I also can't use most of work experience because it was such a niche job so I have to start back at-
