@BoCamaro The average WNBA player is only like 6" shorter than the average NBA player. I think the bigger problem with lowering the hoop is that they've played on a 10' rim their whole life and adjusting their muscle memory now would be impossible.
@MaxUrus254@schweinbeck They do. They just end up a jumble of text that doesn't guide the eye anywhere obvious. Kind of defeats the point of a graphic.
@paulrlma@benoistsabrqms The Ivy League is ranked 5th after the Power 4 *without* giving athletic scholarships. They would not be there if they imposed strict academic requirements on recruited athletes.
@paulrlma@benoistsabrqms Supposedly Ivies have high academic standards for recruited athletes but I go to an Ivy and I have yet to see this. They're all bricks. The Ivy League would not be as successful an athletic conference as it is if it truly imposed strict academic requirements.
May 23, 2025 vs. May 30, 2026 at Hermit Lake. As I noted last year, late May snowstorms certainly aren't rare in the Whites, but two years in a row is pretty crazy!
@ericfisher Snow amounts last year (L) and this year (R) in the Whites looked nearly identical! Makes sense there would be a much bigger discrepancy in Boston compared to the Whites given last year was a nor'easter and this year was a clipper.
@arianaelena97 Pretty much my exact sentiment these past couple of weeks. It's either 80ยฐ and you're dying or it's 40ยฐ and you're chilly. The things I would do to get just one week of temps in the 60s. Surely not that much to ask of spring.
