🌍✈️ Pakistan on the Global Aviation Stage in Brussels
.
On 10 June 2026, Director-General PCAA Mr. Nadir Shafi Dar (TI) represented Pakistan as an invited speaker at the European Commission's high-level conference titled "20 Years of the EU Air Safety List: Building Safer Skies Together” in Brussels.
DG PCAA took part in the panel on synergies between the EU Air Safety List, ICAO USOAP & international technical cooperation, alongside senior officials from the European Commission, EASA, and civil aviation authorities worldwide. The event also featured keynote addresses by the EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and the ICAO Secretary General.
Pakistan's presence at this landmark forum reflects PCAA's growing international standing and our sustained commitment to rigorous aviation safety oversight, for every Pakistani traveller, and for passengers across the globe.

Our aviation sector faced an unprecedented crisis when suspensions by international regulators led to the loss of crucial EU and UK routes, resulting in massive financial and reputational damage. It took years of rigorous reforms and the dedicated efforts of professionals to restore the confidence of global aviation authorities. We successfully navigated this period by establishing a robust regulatory framework and ensuring compliance with the highest standards of aviation safety.
As we look forward to expanding our footprint to multiple international destinations and fully restoring our global standing, it is deeply concerning to see certain private-sector applicants resorting to media criticisms of our regulators. We urge all stakeholders to recognize the immense sacrifices and concerted efforts required to repair our industry's reputation, and to work collaboratively rather than undermining the very regulatory bodies that safeguard our collective future.
🏅 Honoured. Celebrated. Deserved.
We are delighted to announce that our Director General, Mr. Nadir Shafi Dar, has been conferred the prestigious Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 13th May 2026, in recognition of his distinguished contributions to Public Service.
This honour is a reflection of visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to Pakistan's civil aviation. A proud moment for every member of the PCAA family and for Pakistan's aviation community. ✈️🤍
Congratulations, Sir — richly deserved!
