Bringing awareness to our emotions and Zones is a powerful tool - when we know what Zone we are in we can access the tools we need to regulate. This helps us to meet our goals, jobs, tasks and demands with more success!

Our whole school approach to talking about and regulating our emotions 💙💚💛❤️

[Zones of Regulation @ZonesOfReg]

The Red Zone is the highest and most intense Zone covering elation to anger. This Zone helps us when we’re in a situation and we need to react quickly. Tools for the Red Zone help us gain a sense of control, stay safe and can be calming. https://t.co/Lz7uEDc3zX

The Yellow Zone is when we have more energy and feelings are intensifying, such as feeling excited, fidgety, anxious, or frustrated. Although feelings are becoming stronger, we usually still have a sense of control when in this Zone. https://t.co/nJR9Z9rufd

The Green Zone is where we experience more neutral feelings, energy, and alertness. Being in the Green Zone may work well when your goal is to learn or listen. We may feel calm, content, happy, or focused in this Zone. https://t.co/hR7cTO7wd8

The Blue Zone: one that encompasses our lowest level of energy/alertness and can be helpful when we have goals like falling asleep. It also includes when we have sad, bored, or lonely feelings. Some examples of Blue Zone tools are drinking H20, or stretching! #zonesofregulation
