Mr. Allen reviewed the Personnel Report, which was approved as presented.
New tonight includes Mrs. Peckinpaugh, new assistant principal at PHS for the 2026-27 school year, along with several new teachers that will join us in the upcoming school year.
Asst Superintendent Shayotovich is presenting the Financial Summary and Fund Transfers, along with the February claims. These items have been approved. Based on prior review and the opportunity to ask questions of Mr. Shayotovich, the items moved quickly.
As we do every month, we have invited any members of the public to offer comments on tonight’s consent agenda. Tonight’s consent agenda contains records and minutes from the previous month’s board meetings, field trips, camps, grants, & more.
Superintendent Allen is now recognizing our February Value Award Winners who were honored for demonstrating Honesty. One student from each school is being honored.
While we are proud of our students, staff and families for strongly supporting this event, what is even more rewarding is the financial support that Special Olympics receives from our community’s heartfelt generosity to help others. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Spring is in the air…..and ‘tis the season for state testing. IRead, ILEARN, and SAT are in full swing. We send good wishes to our students who have been working hard all year; our teachers have been getting them ready so that they are well prepared to show what they know.
March is Disability Awareness Month, and as they’ve done in prior years, our middle school and high school participated in the Polar Plunge. This year’s donations topped over $18,000 and almost 100 plungers!

The board allows for community members to sign up to speak on non-agenda items prior to the board meeting. With no comments being made, the board moved on to any discussion.
Mr. Allen reviewed the Personnel Report, which was approved as presented. Mr. Shayotovich presented several resolutions to the board, which were all approved as well.
The regular board meeting was suspended to conduct a preliminary determination hearing on the 2026 G.O. Bond. When that was concluded, the regular meeting resumed.
