#PCSonStrike from Glasgow to London we came out in force to demand better. We had a great day of solidarity, cheering at car beeps, mingling with other branches and unions and we raised £214 for PCS Hardship Fund at our bowling social! The workers united will never be defeated!
Today, we came together as trade unionists, campaigners and residents once again to reject the far-right’s attempts to sow division, intolerance and hatred in our area.
Lots of people talk about defeating the far-right but few are willing to do the hard graft of community organising. Sitting down with people you disagree with, dismantling racist narratives and winning people over. We need more nuance and less name-calling.
Parliamentary security staff who are members of @pcs_union striking today for fair pay and conditions, have my full support and solidarity!✊🏾
I joined them at their picket and am writing to the Clerk of the House urging an amicable, fair and swift resolution to this dispute🪧
